Build a website? Are you kidding?

In the spirit of sharing some biz info with like-minded creatives here’s the deal on websites. WordPress is the shit.

Whaaa? WTF is Wordrpress?

You’re looking at it. It’s a website design template. Once it’s installed and minimally tweaked
I never have to deal with HTML or a terse impatient Russian web master EVER. I just create
my content and enter it through their idiot-proof dashboard. I then drool over its awesomeness.
My awesomeness. You dig?

Don’t worry. It doesn’t have to look like HULU or FOX it could look like The Huffington Post
or a Medical Site. All you have to do is write your articles or post your videos or weep into a
Blog post. Your angst will look highly professional.

Oh yeah. It’s free. No really. It is.

Search engine optimization is really good so don’t worry about Google not finding you.

You can easily set up different categories and your ABOUT page and feeds from other blogs.
Whatever. It’s awesome.

Here are some sample free templates.

One other geeky thing. The guy or guys (sorry) who made WordPress are really into jazz music.
The version I have is called Coltrane. This gave me an odd feeling of correctness based on absolutely
nothing. WordPress is great though.

Watch your back HULU.

I’m really enjoying Smigly and I’m glad that it is catching on. And a big thank you for the website information. I will definitely take your word because your website looks great. I’ll keep you posted on what I come up with. Continued best wishes.
PS- we are in the mutual Joey Altruda admiration society.

    I’m diggin’ the website Allen.

I stumbled upon your work yesterday, as I was doing research on blogging. I’m hooked. I think we’re similar in our personal musings and critical thoughts.

I’m also trying to get my work out to the people, and want to build a site. So when I saw this post, I was happy to get new insight on how to do it and keep it looking clean and fresh and totally me.

    Thanks for the help.

    Vivre Smigly,
    Max!
